This is a little about me — and why Luna means so much to me.

My name is Suki, I’m 17 years old, and I’m autistic. I was diagnosed when I was 10, which is considered quite early for a girl. Even with that diagnosis, growing up wasn’t easy. I was bullied at school, struggled with my mental health, and often felt misunderstood by the people around me.

A lot of the time, I felt like there wasn’t anyone who truly understood what I was going through — especially as most information about autism focuses on boys, not girls like me.

When I was asked to return to my old school to speak in an assembly about inclusion, I knew I wanted to do something different. I didn’t just want to explain autism — I wanted children to feel it, understand it, and stay engaged.

That’s why I created Luna.

Luna is built from my own experiences, thoughts, and feelings. Through her, I can turn real challenges into stories and missions that are easier for younger children to connect with. She helps me teach others what autism can feel like, while also making it fun and meaningful.

But Luna is also more than that — she’s there to show people that they’re not alone, and to help others learn how to better understand and support those around them.
